No. Suzetrigine is approved only for the treatment of moderate-to-severe acute pain in adults; it is not approved for chronic pain, and there is insufficient data to support its long-term safety and efficacy.
Suzetrigine is indicated solely for adults, primarily for moderate-to-severe acute pain (treatment duration ≤ 14 days).
Examples include postoperative pain and acute pain resulting from trauma.
What is Suzetrigine?
Suzetrigine is the world’s first approved highly selective NaV1.8 sodium channel inhibitor. It is a synthetic small molecule appearing as a white to off-white crystalline powder, and serves as a potent, non-opioid, peripherally acting oral analgesic active pharmaceutical ingredient.
Our Reagent-grade Suzetrigine can be used for preclinical research, in vitro studies, or drug discovery.
You can buy research-grade Suzetrigine (VX‑548) from Highassay with flexible packaging, fast delivery and complete quality certificates.
Suzetrigine Mechanism of Action
Suzequlin does not enter the brain or spinal cord; instead, it acts on peripheral nerves to block pain transmission—specifically by selectively inhibiting NaV1.8 to interrupt pain signals. Therefore, it offers clinical advantages such as the absence of addictive potential and risk of respiratory depression, a lack of central nervous system side effects (e.g., drowsiness or dizziness), extremely low potential for drug abuse, and a milder adverse reaction profile.
Advantages of Suzequline
- Free from regulatory controls associated with opioid APIs
- No central nervous system side effects; offers a superior safety profile
- Serves as an alternative API for next-generation analgesics
- Our Suzequline API features a stable synthesis process, high purity, and controllable impurity levels
Suzequline API Applications
- It is used as the core raw material for the production of the finished dosage form—Suzetrigine tablets (50 mg/tablet).
- As the patent protection for Suzetrigine has not yet expired, we supply the Suzetrigine API in milligram and gram quantities exclusively for scientific research or laboratory use. The product may be utilized in areas such as in vitro pharmacology, target research, impurity profiling, and synthetic process development.
