Characteristics of Sodium Dichromate
Commonly known as sodium dichromate, the dihydrate is a bright orange-red monoclinic acicular or small granular crystal, which is dehydrated at 84.6 ℃ to form copper brown Anhydrous.
It is easily deliquescent in the air and soluble in water, forming an orange solution.
In acidic media, sodium dichromate is a strong oxidant and toxic. Main hazard 5.1, secondary hazard 6.1.
Highassay Sodium dichromate is characterized by extremely low levels of hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)).

Notes for Attention
- During storage and transportation, keep the product safe from moisture, heat, and shocks and away from flammable materials.
- Do not store together with food or strong reducing agents.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
- Personal protective equipment should include self-priming respirators, acid-resistant gloves, protective clothing and boots, and safety goggles for chemicals.
- If there’s a leak, immediately use 10% sulfuric acid and ferrous sulfate for reduction treatment, then neutralize with lime until it’s neutral.
