Mechanism of Action of Organic UV Filters
The carbon atoms in organic UV filter molecules can form long conjugated double bond structures. After the product is applied, the active ingredients penetrate the skin’s surface layer and complete the photonic energy conversion within the stratum corneum: they absorb UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays from sunlight and convert the light energy into harmless thermal energy, which is then released, thereby blocking UV radiation from damaging the skin. These filters do not work by reflecting or scattering light.
