How does Lotilaner work?
Lotilaner is a selective, non-competitive inhibitor that primarily targets GABA-gated chloride channels in invertebrates; by inhibiting these channels in mites, it causes uncontrolled neuromuscular activity and spastic paralysis, ultimately leading to the parasite’s death. However, it has a negligible effect on mammals and offers a high level of safety.
