Usage of Cetrorelix Acetate
Cetrorelix acetate is a synthetic decapeptide with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist activity, an analog of natural GnRH.
It can quickly bind to the pituitary GnRH receptor, competitively block the effect of endogenous GnRH on the pituitary, and inhibit the premature increase of LH in women. It is mainly used in assisted reproductive technology to prevent the premature appearance of luteinizing hormone peaks and improve the success rate of in vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation.
Cetrorelix acetate injection 0.25 mg is a sterile lyophilized powder, which is reconstituted with sterile water for injection for subcutaneous injection. Each bottle of 0.25 mg cetrorelix acetate injection contains 0.26-0.27 mg cetrorelix acetate (equivalent to 0.25 mg cetrorelix) and 54.80 mg mannitol.
